What is Jailbreak on apple?

Jailbreak is a hack in the apple operating system.Which allows you to exploit the hardware and the software of your device. It is usually used to allow people get apps for free which you would have to buy from the apple app store.But it also lets you do things which apple restricts like changing the page change animation,icon layout, lock screen, etc.You can Jailbreak mostly all apple devices from iphone, ipods, ipad, imac, macbook and even apple tv.

History of Jailbreak:

Just after few days of the release of the 1st iPhone in July 2007 developers released the jailbreaking tool at first it was just for game apps and was called "AppSnapp" after a while in October 2007 JailbreakMe realsed the jail break for ipod and iphone.

Then after that many developers like the iPhone dev team which released cydia a third party app.Then many other developers like blackrain ,redsnow, greenpoison, etc continusly update and added more tweats and made the software better.

What is Cydia?

Cydia was devloped by the iPhone dev team.Cydia is a third party application which now comes as a primary installer after you jailbreak your iDevice it lets you devlop,manage and install tweaks and other extentions which makes it more customizable.

What is Installous?

Installous is also another third party application that only lets you get apps for free which you would have to buy from the apple app store.How it works? As soon as a new paid app is released developers crack/hack the app and make it free to download on installous.

Should you Jailbreak?

It is not advisable for you to jailbreak your apple iDevice it voids the warranty and may harm your device.

It makes your device unstable and may also be attacked by virus.Jailbreaking is a simple and widely used software.To jailbreak your device you have to follow certain steps if you mess those steps up it is likely that you will spoil your device.Plus devices battery life is also affected and it may reduce your devices life.It has many features that might attract you and nobody can stop you to jailbreak your device legally.So should you risk your expensive device just for some tweaks and free apps?
